Dunedine to Te Anau

After a quiet night in Omarama we carried on heading south, but back towards the coast. The drive hadn't been too exciting, until we got to Omaru, where we stopped for lunch on a hill that overlooked the sea and took some more pretty photos.
From there we drove to Dunedine and stayed just outside the city at St Kilda beach caravan park. We went for a walk on the beach when we got there, but it was really windy and icey, so we practically ran back to our site for shelter and warmth.
The next day we drove through the Catlins. We stopped off at a few of the lookout points and also did a little waterfall trail. In the afternoon we arrived in Invercargill where that night we experienced the first of quite a few bitterly cold nights. NZ is going into winter now, so we're expecting the cold and thought to do the South first, as this will be the coldest part of our trip.
As I'm typing this we've realised that it seems like we're going to the cities and not really doing much, and that's because aren't. We're more enjoying the fantastic views on our drives and head to the cities to stock up on shopping, internet and campsites.
From here we headed to Te Anau which is the gateway to Milford Sound.
I could mention every beautiful scenery / view we see, but it'd be too many, so instead we'll share extra pictures of NZ with each post, because it seems like everything in NZ is beautiful.
